In addition to all that has been said, the issue of social responsibility is also a religious, social, and human issue.

It is a value that merits to be considered from the perspective of being conscious to the consequences of a narrow, individualistic view, in disregard with the public good when decisions are made and attitudes are adopted.

Therefore, our objectives in the present Portfolios are:

• To awaken the rising generation to the impact of the individual on the totality of society; the relationship between an individual’s daily behaviors and the public interest.
• We endeavor in the present Portfolio to get rid, in a practical way, from the attitude of the ‘uncaring by-stander’ – which is by-now a prevalent phenomenon of many of the world's societies.
• We focus on the outcome of proactive action in upgrading society, on the fact that a young person can make a major impact on the lives of other people.
• Since developing a sense of social responsibility takes place through teaching and education, we undertake in the present portfolio to acquire:
• A perspective that takes into account both the individual and his/her interests, on the one hand, and develops, on the other hand, a perspective of his/her part in the rise of society, so that he/she bears their duties and responsibilities in that connection; they will be, in this perspective:
• Better able to distinguish rights from duties, and how to set balance between them.
• He/she will learn in this Course the way to arranging their priorities, to serve his/her own interests, but in the framework of the public interests and the common good.

We endeavor through the present portfolio to ensure that the value of social responsibility is held as a well-settled value in our boys’ and girls’ souls, by having it incorporated into their real-life activities and part of their actual behavior. By the end of this Portfolio, the student will be practicing planning and execution of various social initiatives, starting from their milieu and actual life.
