Without doubt, every family wishes and endeavors that its children that its children have good morals; we are aware of the hadith of the Messenger which says: “Nothing is heavier in an individual’s scale, on the Day of Judgment, than good morality;” and we have the aphorism: Nations and groups last as long as their morality lasts.
With this in mind, we aim in the present Portfolio (Course):
To establish firmly the importance of good morals in the mind of the youth, to realize the consequences of that in both his/her family and society; and to awaken him/her to the significance of morality, in both this world and the Last Day.
To stress that good morality is a crucial requirement of civilizational advance; that it is vital for the rise of a nation.
He/she will discover, with us besides him/her, that good morals are a solid base for organizing relationships among individuals; and act as controlling rubric of human behavior: by refining it on the basis of good treatment; that they enhance solidarity, at the level of the family and the society, and they contribute to coexistence and the survival of civilizations.
It will dawn on the youth’s mind that there is a relationship between the sources of good and positive behaviors of the human: innate nature (fitrah), reason, and religion; that they are significant as the bedrock of superior morality and good behavior; it will settle firmly in their minds that holding on to superior morality is utterly necessary.
We do our best to have the youth realize the consequences of not abiding by the good morals, at the individual level and the family level and the society’s level; to be acquainted with the disagreeable morals that must be avoided, and how to work for overcoming them.
The youth will, through this Axis, learn about the main virtues ‘patience’, ‘truthfulness’, ‘justice’, and ‘charitability’, ‘idfa’ billati hiya ahsan’’; and will be enlightened about their significance and consequence in their life.
We undertake, in this Portfolio (Course) to help the youngster to have the morals be the beacon that guides their practical behavior, and settle as a natural trait in their character.
We offer the training, and strive to have it be fruitful in a gradual way, to take its part in the moral structure; keeping away from exaggeration and idealism.
We urge the youth to exercise those morals in a practical and real sense, with the family and the environment; and that takes place through the accessories and home assignments, which are given at the end of each training session.
